Rachel's art work's towards capturing the essence of nature through the delicate medium of watercolour. She finds balance within unplanned washes and contrasts these with more traditional forms, often creating an imaginative realm but at the same time a vision we can relate to. Her artistic approach unites a unique blend of realism and abstraction together. Alongside traditional painting her hand drawn detailing emerges adding depth, detail & familiarity to set a scene.
Rachels past works have been selected for various art awards, including Walker & Hall, Kaipara Awards, Lysaght Trust and shows regularly local at art sales.
