Linda Gilbert
Linda Gilbert is an abstract painter from Tāmaki Makarau. She paints ‘energy maps’ about ethereal creative forces that swirl around in the cosmos, earth and humans. Incorporating techniques used by Visionary artists and Surrealists, Gilbert is interested in surrendering control so the unconscious emerges.
Her work is held in collections across Aotearoa and internationally. She has been a finalist in six national art awards including Molly Morpeth Canaday and Walker and Hall. Linda is represented by Artfull and her website is www.lindagilbert.art
